Nate’s Third Law of Headphones at Work

Observed many times and today is rampant proof:

The surest way to be interrupted at your desk is to put on some headphones and turn on a good album.

And there’s an interesting corollary:

The surest way to NOT be interrupted at your desk is to put on some headphones and play NO MUSIC AT ALL.

DOH! I thought I was the only this happened to. I totally know what you mean. Although a possible upshot to your corollary would be, “a possible method to listen-in to other people’s conversations is to put on some headphones and play no music at all.”

So how’s MT these days? The empire is definitely growing. Have a great weekend.

So what happens if you give your co-worker a great album to listen to? Could this be a great underhanded way to take some sort of revenge with out doing anything wrong?

Jerome: MT is plugging along just fine. There’s always something to keep me busy.

trinity: Hahaha. Yeah, that’s true. I’ll have to try that someday.
